Q: What kind of quality can I expect from your DVDs?
A:
We're serious film & music collectors who are passionate about acquiring and providing the best possible quality footage available.  We have over 20 years of experience working with a variety of media – editing and processing video, performing video format conversions, as well as restoring older footage and authoring to DVD. Whenever necessary, efforts are taken to improve the source footage in regard to color correction, contrast and sharpness. Audio is often remastered to enhance the overall sound quality or volume levels of any given recording. We frequently acquire up to as many as 3 or 4 different versions of a given title in an effort to find and offer the best quality material. Therefore, the titles in our collection will be the best quality you can expect to find, as much of this material is extremely rare, no longer available commercially, or never released in DVD format.

We have both broadcast and digital VHS players with built-in time base correction and onboard video processing controls. We also have audio mixers, LaserDisc players, and a variety of digital video cameras and 8mm equipment. When transferring footage to DVD, the maximum bit rate is always utilized in correlation to the total running time of the footage being recorded to disc. In other words, in regard to our video conversion services, we feel the quality of our transfers is second to none.

Q: What Region code or video format are your DVDs?
A: Almost all of our DVDs will play in all regions and are thus considered Region-Free. Therefore while they are either NTSC or PAL format, most are playable worldwide. Information on the video format for any individual DVD will be provided in the email response you receive from us after inquiring about titles. If you are unable to play either NTSC or PAL formatted DVDs, we can convert the title to the format that you need. Please note that some DVD players are unable to play DVD-R or DVD+R discs. If your player is unable to play either of these (or if you are unsure), please let us know.

Q: Can you tell me the exact running time of a specific title?
A: Absolutely. Just ask.

Q: Can I obtain parts of a show rather than the entire show, such as just one artist’s performance?

A: Yes, we offer custom compilations. Any individual piece of footage or show listed on our website can also be made available to you separately on its own DVD.

Q: Do your DVDs come with cases or cover art?
A:
All of the DVDs we offer have nicely designed inkjet printed disc-top titling. We do our own printing to make the DVDs themselves more attractive and easily identifiable. We use professional grade DVD-R or DVD+R media (Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or FTI Pro). Please note that while the DVDs have disc-top labeling, we do not provide insert sleeve artwork for any of the titles offered. We prefer to spend our time acquiring, editing and perfecting the actual video quality, rather than creating photocopied inserts.

Our DVDs come housed in slimline poly jewel cases (half the thickness of a standard CD case). For further protection, they are mailed to you in rigid cardboard box mailers, designed specifically to accommodate this media. When ordering 4 or more DVDs, the discs are sent to you in colored paper disc sleeves.

Q: Do your DVDs have menus or chapters?
A: Yes, many have fully authored menus with chapter and track or scene selections. At the very minimum, they have titled menus with chapter points usually placed to correspond to each song performed (music titles) or relevant scenes (film or TV titles).

Q: What kind of DVD media do you use?
A: Professional grade Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or FTI media is used in all cases. These are widely considered the best quality media brands for long term reliability and data integrity, as well as the most universally compatible - unlike other brands or generic media that will likely cause playback problems in the future.

Q: What is your turnaround time?
A: Most orders are mailed out within 2 business days, although it can take a little longer depending on the working queue at the time, and the size and complexity of your requests.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes.

Q: Do you carry CDs, Vinyl, VHS tapes or LaserDiscs?
A: Yes. We have a modest collection of rare live audio on CD and vintage vinyl. We also have a large collection of original out of print VHS tapes and LaserDiscs for sale. To see a list, just ask!

Q: Do you do DVD trading?
A: Yes, trades will be considered periodically. Please email us a detailed list of what you have to trade and if there’s anything of interest, we may be able to set something up. If a trade is not possible, we can provide a service from one collector to another.

Q: What is your return or replacement policy?
A: There are no refunds given due to the nature of recordable media and the ease with which it can be copied. We will, however, replace any disc that you are unable to play (for the same title) due to freezing, skipping or incompatibilities with your player. If you have any questions about compatibility, please let us know and we can determine the best format for your player. Replacements will only be issued within 30 days of shipment.

We do want you to be satisfied, so if you are unhappy for any reason, please contact us and we'll try to come up with a solution.
